WHO WE ARE
We are a Christian homeschooling family living in Allen, Texas, which is 25 miles north of downtown Dallas. In 1992, we began homeschooling and, shortly thereafter, began working with families that were new to homeschooling and with seasoned homeschoolers that were new to Texas.

WHAT WE DO
Initially, we shared with families that contacted us basic information about educating their children at home. Over the years, our work has expanded in many exciting ways. One way we expanded is that it became very obvious that there was a need for teaching more than just the "bare bones basics" of homeschooling to new and prospective homeschool parents. We are now in our eighth year of conducting Parent Orientation meetings in the Dallas area and throughout Texas, as well as in other states as opportunity allows. Our Parent Orientation meetings are now seminars that are a full half day in length. At last count, we have had the privilege of teaching and training over 8,000 prospective homeschooling parents as they sought information to assist them in making wise decisions concerning the education of their children at home.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER
Of great interest to homeschool families is the Pre-K through 12th Grades curriculum we have developed and offer to the homeschool community at an extremely modest price! We currently select textbooks and other teaching materials from over 50 publishers which has enabled us to develop a curriculum that is especially strong in teaching language skills (reading, writing, spelling, grammar & phonics) and math skills. It is unique in that it enables parents to teach character qualities to their children and to teach skills that will develop strong study habits early in a student's academic training.
Additionally, we help our customers to tailor, that is, to custom-design the curriculum they purchase in order to meet the academic needs of each of their students. Many parents have indicated to us that this service was the single greatest help to them, particularly in their early years of homeschooling. That, and the fact that they knew they could call on us for help whenever they needed to do so...and that we would help them through the tough times.

WHO WE CURRENTLY WORK WITH
We now work with families all across the U.S. and in Europe, Asia, Mexico and South America.

CONSULTATIONS

We continue to provide private consultations, either in-person, if you wish, or by telephone, to individuals interested in learning about various aspects of home education.  Our fee for this service is $50 per hour, minimum billing of 1 hour.  Time beyond the first hour is billed at $25.00 per each 30 minute increment.

Specific areas of consultation include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Curriculum issues – benefits of customizing curriculum for each child

• Getting “connected” with the local homeschooling community

• Making the transition from public or private school to homeschooling

• How to develop and stick with your lesson plans

• The importance of knowing about Learning Styles

• Issues related to the preparation for college

• How to consolidate curriculum in the family with multiple children

WORKSHOPS
We have developed several workshops dealing with various aspects of home education. These are conducted throughout the year at various homeschool conferences, conventions and bookfairs, and for homeschool support groups.
